How To Use Your Inhaler/Spacer

Hi Kids!

I have asthma and these pages are to help you take your inhaler properly.

I will also show you how to look after your spacer and keep it clean.

How I use my inhaler (animation)

Looking after your Spacer

It is really important to look after your spacer/bubble so that it works properly. Just like your parents/guardians have to look after their car so it works properly.

When to wash your spacer...

1. When you get a new one.
2. Every four weeks.

How to wash a spacer...

1. Put it in warm, soapy water and give it a good clean.
2. Let it drip dry! There is no need to rinse it.

George Says:

"My Mummy washes my spacer last thing at night so it is ready for the morning"

This page is kindly sponsored by Trinity Chiesi Pharmaceuticals.

GCMF would like to thank the National Respiratory Training Centre for their invaluable help and support in helping us help children with Asthma.
